BIG NEWS for 2017: I am honored to announce I have been selected as a member of the Coldwell Banker 30 Under 30! I am proud to announce that in 2016, my second full year in real estate, I received the Coldwell Banker International President’s Elite Award!
About Me
I am a born and raised Yooper! I grew up in the country seven miles out of Houghton, MI. I married in August 2012 to my beautiful wife Anna, who is also a born and raised Yooper from Hancock, MI. I love living and working in the Marquette area and enjoying the outdoors and great Lake Superior, mostly in the summer! I am excited about real estate and look forward to meeting wonderful people here in the great Upper Peninsula!
Education
I Attended Houghton High School (2006), continued on to Michigan Technological University to pursue and receive an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology (2008). Then went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management from Northern Michigan University (2011).
Interests
I love spending time outdoors, mostly on the shores of Lake Superior. I spend time up in the Houghton/Hancock area in the summers cruising the Houghton Canal and Portage Lake on my pontoon boat named “The SandBar”! I really enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and just cruising the waters with the radio on and the smell of burgers or hot dogs cooking on the grill. I also enjoy exploring what the Upper Peninsula has to offer by going on camping trips, 
and weekend adventures.
November 15th is a holiday for me! I love deer hunting, especially rifle season. I go to camp every deer season and try to bag a nice buck, which only has happened a couple times, but I enjoy the camp life and getting out in the woods.
I am a huge fan of hockey, I love to play and watch. My favorite teams to watch are the Detroit Red Wings and the NMU Wildcats. I try to get down to Detroit once a season to catch a Wings game and usually make it to every Wildcats home game!
Community Involvement
In 2015 I helped with the start up of a food packing group called Cat Packs. We here at Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors in Marquette partnered up with Northern Michigan University to bring a food packing program to the students of North Star Academy of Marquette. Our oganization packs meals for the less fortunate students for over the weekend when they may have little to eat. We serve 64 students in total. The program really took off this fall and we are looking for another great year in 2016. We are always looking for donations and appreciate any amount that can be given. I am a member of Marquette County Search and Rescue. I am very enthused to help people in their time of need and look forward to volunteering with a great group of people. I am also a member of 40 Below: Marquette County Young Professionals.
